You Have Valuable Skills and Business Lessons that You Want to Share with Companies

How to Share your Skills and Wisdom with Companies and/or Entrepreneurs

There are 3 Key Parts to sharing your Skills and Wisdom with Companies

Part 1: Ethos. Establish your Trust and Credibility and your position as a Subject Expert

Part 2: Pathos. Identify Companies that are actually willing to learn. A company that is going through a cash crunch will be very receptive to a book about managing expenses and balancing Earnings and Expenses. Whereas, a company that just received a $100 Million funding round would instead be focused on books/insights into achieving rapid growth

Part 3: Logos. Make sure your message actually benefits and provides value. The wisdom and lessons you want to share actually work. Have proof and figures to back it up

Please also read this Page to better understand Ethos, Pathos, and Logos - https://review0.com/author/authors-start-here/pages/path-18-i-have-valuable-lessons-or-wisdom-that-i-want-to-share-with-the-world.php

How to Establish Trust and Credibility

You must tick off as many items from this list as you can

1) You must have actual expertise in the area you are writing about
2) You must have solid experience in the area, including projects and/or businesses that were successful
3) You must have demonstratable proof of your expertise including figures, screenshots, awards, etc
4) You must have a clearly written and upfront author biography and a photo
5) For most areas you must have a cover that includes you and/or your face on the cover. Not only is this great for credibility, it is also great for branding and likability
6) Your Book Description must clearly indicate what you are sharing and why you are qualified to do it. Additional details can be added in your author description/profile
7) You must have testimonials from respected and/or famous people in your area of work
8) You must have reviews from actual people in your line of work - either for your work, or for your book
9) You must have a solid LinkedIn profile which clearly shows your work history and work experience and achievements
10) You must sell yourself, while not overselling yourself

How to Find the Right Companies and Entrepreneurs

Your wisdom and insights will appeal to people who fall into one or more of the following categories. These are the people you must find and target

1) People who are in your exact same work area and want to improve
2) People who are in a related work area and also ambitious and looking to learn
3) People and Companies who are going through a particular phase that matches the wisdom and expertise you are sharing. This is the absolute most important criteria
4) People and Companies who respect either you or the people vouching for you
5) Companies and people that are very learning oriented and learn as much as possible - even from areas outside their areas of operation
6) Thought Leaders and Subject Experts in your area that read a lot and have to maintain their 'status'. They must read all new and interesting books related to your area
7) People and Companies that can benefit financially from your work. This is the second most important criteria. If you can show a company that they can either increase revenues or lower costs by implementing your advice and insights, they will purchase your book in a heartbeat

Hopefully this gives you a good idea of who to target. Look for people who benefit in some way and who are in your area of expertise and/or in related areas

How to Refine Your Message and Make it Very Powerful

After you have established Trust and Credibility, and after you've found the right readers for your book, it's critical to make sure the message (the book itself) is very refined and powerful

1) Polish the story so that it's a story that gets them emotionally involved and invested in the book. The more dry you make your writing the less people will want to read it or learn from it
2) Polish your writing so that it is well written and completely free of errors. Any error will throw the reader out of their thought process and weaken your ability to share and teach
3) Package your book with a very good cover. Make sure the cover conveys quality
4) Focus on One Key Message/Theme, and revolve the book around that. Make sure the different chapters all tie in to, or lead to, this one central theme
5) Include facts and figures that establish the validity of what you are sharing. Proof that it works
6) Make your lessons/insights As Simple As Possible. The simpler you make your central lesson, the more likely it is that people will understand
7) Do not make your book too short or too long. 50 to 100 pages is too short, regardless of how succinct you think the book should be. Over 300 pages is too long, unless it is warranted. An ideal length is between 150 pages and 250 pages

The book and the wisdom has to be very polished. The entire book should revolve around conveying your message in a convincing and powerful way

Perhaps the Most Important Point when Sharing your Skills and Wisdom with Companies and/or Entrepreneurs

The Wisdom and Skills you share MUST WORK and must add value to the Companies and/or Entrepreneurs

They must add to the bottomline - the wisdom and insights should make the companies more successful, either by increasing revenues and profits, or by lowering costs

In the end what will make you truly successful, whether writing a business book or selling consulting services, is if your wisdom WORKS and makes the company more successful
