To be quite frank, we are not aware of exactly what it takes to become one of the Top 100 Authors in the World
We would recommend studying and analyzing what the most successful authors have done
We would also recommend not listening AT ALL to what they say caused their success. People who become successful are very good at mis-attributing the cause of their success
Look for what actually worked. Not at the romantic story they are painting you about what they think they worked, or what they want you to believe is the reason for their success
Finally, it is worth noting that without the backing of powerful allies like a Big 5 Publisher, or a very large corporation, it is almost impossible to become a Top 100 Author
So all the things that help you become a Top 10,000 author in the world, and be independent, and be in Control of Your Destiny, you might have to throw out the window
To become a Top 100 author you need very powerful allies, and they would want their share. You just have to figure out at what point you tie up with them, and what share you are comfortable giving them
You will still have to work your ass off. Having a very powerful ally would just enable you to magnify the success you achieve
